Bolingbrook Golf Club Clubhouse, Bolingbrook, Ill.
The 76,000-sq.-ft., three-floor Bolingbrook
Golf Club Clubhouse was designed in the Tudor style.
A top challenge was to build a public facility that is a testament
to the village's dedication to service and commitment to quality.
The clubhouse has amenities that are typically found in only
the most exclusive country clubs.
It features a golf shop, men's and women's locker facilities,
men's grill room, ladies' card room and massage room. A boardroom
can accommodate 16 people, and audiovisual amenities are everywhere.
A fully equipped exercise facility includes free weights,
stair masters, saunas, whirlpools and other equipment.
The second floor houses the Reagan Grand Ballroom for up to
960 guests or five individual ballrooms for 60 to 300 guests.
With chandeliers and elegant touches, these are designed for
black-tie events but can accommodate business meetings and
trade shows. A covered veranda overlooks the golf course and
features living room settings.
The East Room on the third floor is for private dining, and
two other private dining rooms create a place to host a corporate
dinner or family party. The three bridal suites on the floor
include a living room, wet bar and veranda.
The interior design of the facility features an Americana
theme.
The jury said, "It's a beautiful project, and one that
you don't see on public courses that often."
