Thomas Walker was named president and chief operating officer of the
Chicago-based UBM Inc. He was previously commissioner of the Chicago Department of Aviation. UBM Inc. provides general contracting, construction management and other services.

Graycor Industrial Constructors Inc., of Homewood announced Bruce Evenson
was promoted to general manager from manager of estimating.
Mark Liston was promoted
to manager of estimating from chief estimator.
Graycor Industrial Constructors Inc. provides construction, maintenance and facility services of Commerce's board of directors.

Firestone Building Products Co. of Carmel, Ind., has announced the promotions of
Mark Munley and Phil LaDuke. Munley advances to division manager of corporate marketing from national account manager, and LaDuke moves to national account manager from consultant services manager. Firestone Building Products Co. manufactures roofing systems. Wing was previously senior project manager, and Ledyard was previously project manager.

Sergio Pecori adds to his responsibilities with Springfield-based Hanson Professional Services Inc., by becoming chairman of the board. He remains CEO and president. Hanson Professional Services Inc. is an architecture and engineering firm.

Brett Miller was named project architect of Chicago-based Loebl Schlossman & Hackl. He was previously an independent consultant and project architect with several architecture firms. Loebl Schlossman & Hackl is an architecture firm.

Chuck Braun was named national sales manager of Wausau-based Major Industries Inc. He was previously in sales with Janesville-based Hufcor Inc. Major Industries manufactures skylights and curtain wall.

Brendan Keane , was promoted to project manager of Chicago-based Bulley & Andrews. He was previously a project engineer. Bulley & Andrews is a general contractor. provides engineering, environmental and construction services.

Rocky Gupta was named project engineer II of Rosemont-based McShane Corp.
He previously held several positions with Turner Construction Co. in Portland, Ore. McShane Construction Corp. provides design-build and build-to-suit services.

Arne Hamalainen was promoted to manager of technical services for Buffalo Grove-based Dressta North America. He was previously field service manager. Dressta North America markets construction equipment.

David Cleary was named project manager of Brookfield, Wis.-based
National Survey & Engineering. He was previously site development manager with Menomonee Falls-based Kohl's Department Stores Inc. National Survey & Engineering offers civil engineering, planning and surveying.

Donal Knorr transferred to the Indianapolis location of Strand Associates Inc.
He was previously based in the Madison, Wis., headquarters.

Kiferbaum Construction Corp. of Deerfield has announced Susan Harris was named controller, David Mooney senior project manager, Michael Murphy IT administrator and Gregory Leuchtmann engineer I. Harris was previously manager of financial planning and analysis for Elk Grove Village-based Flextronics, Mooney was previously project manager with Chicago-based Pepper Construction Co., Murphy was previously network administrator with the Franklin Park Library and Leuchtmann was previously a student. Joseph Krusinski has received the University of Illinois Loyalty Award for Exceptional Alumni Service. Krusinski is the CEO and founder of Oak Brook-based
Krusinski Construction Co.

Jeffrey Kantarek was named district sales manager in Chicago of Ambridge, Pa.-based H.H. Robertson Floor Systems and will cover 18 states. He was previously an account manager/new business developer for Kankakee-based Gordon Electric Supply Inc. H.H. Robertson Floor Systems is a manufacturer.

Chris Glinka was named industry manager in Chicago of New Britain, Conn.-based Reflexite Americas' transportation group. He was previously a regional sales representative of Plymouth, Mich.-based Associated Spring/Barnes Group. Reflexite Corp. manufactures products to enhance visibility.

Ryan Cos. Inc. of Minneapolis has announced Bob Wehner joined the Naperville office as senior project manager and Ben Warriner as project manager II. Wehner was previously a project manager with Oak Brook-based Krusinski Construction Co., and Warriner was previously a project manager for Chicago-based McClier Corp. Ryan Cos. Jimmy Fullbright was named manager of the Forestry Division of Buffalo Grove, Ill.-based Dressta North America. He was previously corporate business manager with Moline, Ill.-based John Deere & Co. Dressta North America markets construction equipment.

Nick Quartier was promoted to vice president of sales and marketing for Itasca, Ill.-based Reichel & Drews. He was previously sales executive. Reichel & Drews is a designer and builder of production systems and machines for asphalt-based roofing.

Mead & Hunt of Madison has announced Jeff Thierfelder was named electrical engineer and William Kratt bridge design engineer. Michael Scheller was named civil engineer and Richard Voskamp survey crew chief, both in the Green Bay office. Mead & Hunt is an engineering and architectural consulting firm.
